After a historic yet chaotic presidential election comes to an end, local residents express anticipation as they wait to hear the results.

“It’s stressful,” Local Resident Earnest Ebert said. “Everyone I think in the United States is stressed out right now over what’s going to happen, who’s going to win.”

People stood in line past the final hours still waiting to cast their votes.

“Basically put it in God’s hands,” Lubbock Resident Philisha Hanes said. “It doesn’t matter who’s elected, he’s still on the throne. So I’m looking forward to not seeing the political stuff all over the place.”

“I am grateful,” Lubbock Resident Erik Mcinroe said. “No more news. I don’t have to listen to it anymore for at least four more years. So I’m hoping things get better.”

“I’m just thankful,” Lubbock Resident Lisa Feldman said. “I hate all the negativity and we’ve got enough going against each other we don’t need to be going against ourselves.”
