With New Year’s Eve only a day away, some hotels and restaurants in town are getting something special prepared for the big night.

With a new location on 62nd street, Rob Meyer with Arbor Hotels said this will be their first big New Years Eve blow out, and they plan to serve food to over a hundred people with dancing, and a champagne toast at midnight.

“It’s exciting,  it’s a party, but it’s a party for us too, and we thoroughly enjoy serving and I hope everybody comes out and has a good time,” said Meyer.

For those that are still desperately looking for a sitter, Taryn Wheeler with Adrenaline City said they are having a lock in from 7 PM- 7 AM for kids from 10-17.

“It’s going to be $55 dollars at the door for each participant, and if you want to save ten dollars you can go online to gobodyworks.com,” Wheeler said.

Cafe J still has room for a few more reservations– on New Year’s Eve they are serving a four course meal for $65, and manager Blake Jaggers said they will also have a live band playing.

“At ten o’ clock we will have our live band in the lounge with a ten dollar cover,” said Jagger. “If you eat dinner it will be free to go back there, and they will be playing until 2 AM.”
