Lubbock’s Parks and Wildlife Department’s Game Warden Ryan Hall said it’s very unlikely for this area to see an alligator.

He said East Texas has a core wildlife habitat for alligators. So if any show up in this area, then they have been transported here.

“If someone has information about their neighbor raising an alligator or something like that, it’s highly illegal,” Hall said. “It’s something we would definitely respond to in a law capacity because there would be criminal charges most likely filed on someone doing that.”

He asked for you to contact their office for any alligator spotting at (806) 761-4930.
