On Thursday, March 30th, Accident Investigators will temporarily shut down the eastbound access road of South Loop 289 between Avenue Q and Avenue P. The closure will begin at 10 a.m. and last for about two hours.
This closure will allow for further investigation into the March 24th police pursuit where the suspect vehicle crashed into multiple RVs at Billy Sims Trailer Town. No injuries were reported, however there is significant damage to several of the RVs.
It is standard protocol to conduct an Accident Investigation into crashes that occur during police pursuits that result in major property damage such as this case.
