This morning, Sunday, May 29, 2016 at approximately 11:16 a.m., patrol officers responded to a report of shots fired at the Flatland Apartments, 1710 9th Street. Officers arrived to find one shooting victim at the base of the stairway in the courtyard and the possible suspect walking away on the second floor balcony. The victim and suspect got into a verbal argument that led to a physical confrontation. The suspect pulled a gun and shot the victim. The victim was taken to UMC with serious injuries. The suspect also suffered serious injuries and was also taken to UMC.
Detectives were called to the scene and are investigating. No been arrest have been made at this time.
