This morning, Sunday, June 5, 2016 at approximately 2:19 a.m. patrol officers responded to a report of a disturbance with shots fired at Club Pink, 510 N. University Ave. The victim was outside the club standing in line at a taco stand with several other people. A Ford pick-up truck was doing “donuts” in the parking lot and suddenly drove toward the people standing in the food line and stopped. Someone inside the vehicle fired several rounds at the crowd of people striking the victim once in the leg. The victim was taken to UMC by EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the scene and was not located. This shooting is under investigation and no other information will be released at this time.
