This morning, Monday, July 11, 2016 at approximately 1:39 a.m., officers from the Field Services Bureau responded to a report of a domestic disturbance with at least one person stabbed at the Value Place Hotel, 1410 South Loop 289.
Officers arrived to find one victim outside suffering from a stab wound to the neck.
The victim, Lee Trejo – 42, was immediately taken to UMC with life-threatening injuries. Officers followed a blood trail to the victim’s room where they found his common law wife.
They learned that she had stabbed the victim during a domestic dispute. Detectives from the Investigation Services Bureau were called to the scene and continue to investigate.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the Lubbock County Detention Facility and booked in.
Arrestee: Kim Davenport Peterson – 44, Aggravated Assault.
