Lubbock Police on Thursday asked for the public’s help to find Emily Valdez, 37, who was last seen at 4th Street and Marsha Sharp Freeway on August 4.
Someone called police on August 9 to express concern after not seeing Valdez for several days. A police report does not say if the person who called police was friend or family to Valdez.
But the person who called police said another person who knows Valdez was “agitated and began to make threats” when asked about the situation.
“That did not make any sense,” according to the person who reported this situation to police.
Valdez was supposed to pick up her sister on August 4 for a doctor’s appointment but never showed up. Police were told, “This was very unusual.”
Police were told to look possibly at the Villa Apartments, 2300 51st Street, or Inn of the South Plains, 310 avenue Q. Police did that, but without success.
Valdez was described as 5’02” tall and 225 pounds. Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Line at 806-741-1000.
