UPDATE: As of 7:30 Saturday night, LPD investigators updated our photojournalist on the scene with information the victim from the crash died at UMC.
Emergency crews were dispatched to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian early Saturday evening near Northwest Lubbock.
The accident was reported in the area of 4th Street and Vicksburg Avenue around 6:30 p.m.
Lubbock Police told EverythingLubbock.com the victim suffered critical/serious injuries and was transported from the scene by UMC EMS.
The Lubbock Police Department Accident Investigation Team has also been called to the scene.
