PRESS RELEASE FROM LUBBOCK POLICE –
Yesterday, Sunday, January 17, 2016 at approximately 1:30 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting just occurred at 1909 67th Street. They quickly learned that was not a good address and then checked on 1909 66th Street and located the scene. Officers went inside and located the victim, Devin Deshon Holland – 18, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead a short time later by EMS.
While responding to the scene, an officer spotted a black Lincoln Navigator at 66th St. and University that had blood smeared on the passenger side. The officer stopped the vehicle in the Trinity High School parking lot and learned that the vehicle had been at the scene of the shooting. The two female occupants were transported to the Police Department for questioning.
Person Crimes detectives were called to the scene and began a homicide investigation. Through their investigation, a suspect was identified and enough information was gathered to obtain an arrest warrant for Quaylon Jamar Williams – 18.
Quaylon Jamar Williams is described as a black male, with black hair and brown eyes, 6’01” and 155 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie and blue jeans. He should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call Crime Line at 806-741-1000.
