This morning, Thursday, March 24, 2016 at approximately 7:55 a.m., patrol officers responded to a report of vehicle rollover in the 3200 block of Slaton Hwy. A 2007 Toyota Avalon was traveling eastbound when the driver left the roadway for unknown reasons causing the vehicle to roll. The driver, Katherine Ashlock – 69, was trapped inside and the jaws-of-life had to be used to extract her. She suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to UMC. The front passenger received minor injuries and was also taken to UMC.
The Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene and is investigating.
