Lubbock Police on Tuesday released video of an attempted robbery case in the 5400 block of South Q. Drive.
Police said, “On April 14, 2016, at the Koko Inn, a black male pulled a gun and put it to the victim’s head demanding money.”
“When the victim stated that he didn’t have any money the suspect placed the gun back into his pocket and told the victim ‘He was just joking,” police said.
When officers responded, someone fitting the description of the suspect was located just down the street. The man was wearing a hoodie and had a bb gun, according to the police report.
But according to the report, the victim “did not believe [the man found by police] is the one who attempted to rob him.”
The man with the bb gun was arrested by police for an unrelated charge.
