Lubbock Police said three children were missing and last seen on October 18.  According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the children were identified as Mariah Martinez, Jeremiah Martinez and Leimiah Martinez McGavok.  

Mariah was described as 8 years old, 4’2″ tall, 57 pounds, Hispanic, and female.  She was described as having black hair and brown eyes.

Jeremiah was described as 5 years old, 3’5″ tall, 40 pounds, Hispanic and male.  He was described as having black hair and brown eyes.

Leimiah was described as 2 years old, 2’7″ tall, 25 pounds, Hispanic and female.  She was described as having black hair and brown eyes. 

LPD issued the following statement: 

On October 21, 2016, an investigator with the Department of Family and Protective Services contacted the Lubbock Police Department to file a missing person case on behalf of three siblings.

The investigator informed officers that their department had obtained a court order to remove the children, ages, 8, 5, and 2 from the parent’s custody, however, the investigator had been unable to locate the family. The parent has since been located, but the children were not with her and their whereabouts are unknown.

Investigators believe the children are at risk and are asking for the public’s help in finding the three children. Anyone with information as to their whereabouts is urged to call Crime Line at 806-741-1000 or 911.
