Lubbock Power and Light said a power outage Tuesday in Northwest Lubbock was caused by a truck hitting a pole in the 5400 block of Highway 84.  The truck dragged a wire down according to LP&L.

LP&L said roughly 2,200 homes or business were without power.

People contacted the newsroom just before noon about the outage, and as of 12:54 pm LP&L said most customers were restored.  LP&L expected to have the remaining 100 or so customer back up and running by 1:45 p.m.

EverythingLubbock.com reached out to Lubbock Police.  An officer said police were not called to that location so presumably there were no injuries.
