Friends and family of Lubbock-area broadcaster Steve Richie Langston will memorialize his life on Sunday. Richie died after a stroke on May 23.
He was on the air for multiple radio stations in the Lubbock area over the years – most recently KSSL.
His wife, Jo Ann Grant Langston, said on Facebook, “Your prayers and messages flood over me.”
“There are no words to thank you.”
She also said, “On June 5, we will take his ashes on one last motorcycle ride and spread them along a favorite path we took. Kickstands up at 9:30 a.m. at the Lodge, 3409 Milwaukee. Bikes and cars.”
At 3:00 pm Sunday, also at the Elks Lodge, a memorial will be held. Non-members of the Elks Club are welcome according to Mrs. Langston.
Langston also said, “In lieu of flowers, we are asking for memorials to Steve’s favorite causes: Elks and Honor Flight. His passion was infectious for these two organizations.”
