Lubbock Area United Way’s 2016 Annual Campaign will kick-off with a luncheon on Thursday, August 25 in the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Exhibit Hall. 2016 Campaign Chair Amber Dean of City Bank will announce the Campaign goal. The keynote speaker will be Mark Griffin, President of The Rip Griffin Companies. Other items on the agenda include recognizing companies that have already completed their United Way campaigns and showing the 2016 Campaign Video.
For the second year, a live auction will be held during the luncheon for a Lexus Champions for Charity Golf Package. This package includes entry for two at the 2016 Lexus Champions for Charity National Championship in December, which is held at Pebble Beach Golf Links, The Links at Spanish Bay, and Spyglass Hill Golf Course. United Way’s 23 Community Partners work daily in the Lubbock community to assist people with needs such as affordable child care, crisis situations, character development, adult literacy, job training, and youth mentoring.
