The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce will host a Mayoral and City Council reception on Tues., June 7, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Reagor Dykes Corporate Headquarters (1215 Ave. J).
The reception, which is open to the public, will recognize the newly elected mayor along with newly elected and re-elected City Council members as well as say farewell to those leaving office.
The Chamber will also host another reception in July to recognize the City Council members elected in the runoff.
The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce represents over 2,000 businesses and over 79,000 employees on the South Plains which accounts for over $2 billion in annual household earnings in Lubbock and West Texas. The Chamber has twice earned the distinguished 5-Star Accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and is a two-time Chamber of the Year recognized by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.
