Lubbock Christian University ranked fourth out of 27 for Best Online Schools in Texas by AccreditedSchoolsOnline.org, a leading resource for online learning and college accreditation.

Accredited Schools Online analyzes data from hundreds of colleges across the nation with online degrees.

“Lubbock Christian University provides a small student to faculty ratio, even in its 10 online degree programs and four hybrid programs,” according to Accredited Schools Online website. The LCU student to faculty ratio is currently 13:1.

“Online degrees are designed for self-motivated adult learners who need a flexible degree program to accommodate their busy personal and professional schedules. Students learn practical skills that they can put to use in their careers immediately, giving them the hands-on experience they need. Some of the degrees available include divinity, biblical interpretation, organizational management, counseling and human services. The university offers job placement services for students after graduation,” according to the site.

A press release from the website added: “LCU received this ranking by offering a notable balance of academic rigor, student support, and affordability for online learning.”

LCU ranked ahead of Texas Tech University (14th), West Texas A&M (23rd) and Texas Tech Health Sciences Center (24th).

Most all traditional students are involved in face-to-face classroom interaction with their professors, but a variety of classes are also available online to provide flexibility for students.

“Lubbock Christian University’s online programs are inspired, built, and taught by talented faculty to be challenging and comprehensive,” said Bill Kopf, director of distance learning. The professors are dedicated to their students and I believe that the online community that grows around the students is memorable. Much more, the full-time and adjunct faculty give students the rich and meaningful knowledge and experiences that allow them to succeed at and beyond LCU.”
