A criminal charge was filed Wednesday against David Michael Jackson, 65, of Lubbock County.  He was already in jail since June 8 for a parole violation.

Jackson was accused of indecency with a child by contact.  An arrest warrant said a family member of his made an outcry of sexual abuse.

The warrant said, “She stated that they were in a closet in his back bedroom and that he pulled down her pants and panties and touched her privacy with his hand.”

It also said, “[The girl] was descriptive about some things during here interview but was unable to provide consistent time references which could be attributed to her age.”

The warrant said when confronted by investigators with the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, he admitted to an incident of touching the girl.

The warrant said, “He stated that he believed that this would effectively incarcerate him for the rest of his life due to his medical issues.”

Investigators were told Jackson has lung cancer and two arterial stints.  Jackson had a previous conviction in a 1989 case for indecency with a child.
