The Lubbock County Democratic Party late Monday morning announced that its headquarters building was vandalized.

A statement from the local Democrats said, “Unfortunately someone saw fit to vandalize the offices of the Lubbock Democratic Party. We will not be bowed.”

The Democrats also said, “Crosshairs, spray painted or otherwise won’t work. Nevertheless, we will persist.”

Images from the scene showed graffiti that included the words “support your pres.”

The graffiti also seemed to depict the numbers “14” and “88.”

According to the Anti-Defamation League, “1488 is a combination of two popular white supremacist numeric symbols.”

The local party said on Twitter, “@lubbockdems and @texasdemocrats will continue to stand against hate and divisions regardless of where it rears its ugly head.”
