The Lubbock Dream Center is preparing for their annual Prom Queen event, in which 300 girls from around the community will be given the opportunity to shop for prom dress for free.
On Thursday, March 23, the girls are welcome to bring their mothers and friends to help them shop for their prom gowns, handbags, and jewelry. The event will be held at the Dream Center, located at 1111 30th street, and will begin at 4 p.m. of coordinating accessories for each girl.
LeighAnn Ramirez, Pastoral Assistant and Office Manager for the Dream Center, shared that registration to attend this year’s event will run until the day of. Volunteer registration has already closed, but there are several ways to still get involved by choosing to donate dresses, accessories, shoes or even help supply food for the day of the event.
Donations of evening jewelry, handbags, and shoes will gladly be accepted at any of the following locations, Wentz Orthodontics, Church On The Rock, The Lubbock Dream Center, and J. Hoffmans.
