The Lubbock Department responded to the scene of a structure fire at a home in West Lubbock early Tuesday morning.

The fire occurred around 1:00 a.m. in the 5700 block of 37th Street.

Crews arrives to find the back of the house on fire with the fire extending into the attic.

The fire was extinguished in about ten minutes.

Roughly 40 percent of the house was damaged in the fire and the entire house received smoke damage.

Four people inside the home were displaced and were assisted by the Red Cross.

The Lubbock Fire Department said the cause of the fire was determined to be from a hot tub on a the back porch
