Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to the Plaza at Lubbock senior living facility just after 7:30 on Tuesday morning, after receiving reports of smoke in the building.
Officials tell us a heating unit malfunctioned in a common area. Some residents were evacuated as a precaution but have since been allowed back inside. Citibus was called to help evacuate those residents but was not needed. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Plaza at Lubbock is located at 4910 Emory.
