Multiple units with the Lubbock Fire Department responded to a scene of a mobile home fire in North Lubbock Sunday afternoon.
The fire was reported after 2:00 p.m. at the mobile home park located at 302 East Purdue Street.
Steve Holland, LFD public information officer, told EverythingLubbock.com crews arrived on the scene at 2:15 p.m. to find a mobile home fully engulfed.
Holland said the mobile home was abandonded and surrounded by other abandoned mobile homes.
Firefighters were on the scene for an hour and a half working to extinguish the fire and to keep it from spreading.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The Fire Marshall’s Office is currently investigating.
