Beginning Friday morning through Monday, September 26, the Friends of Lubbock Libraries will be hosting their annual new and used book sale at the Mahon Public Library
Tony Kite with the Friends of the Library, says the shelves have been restocked with thousands of recent donations varying from books, DVD’s, CD’s, VHS available in every category. Areas have been arranged by:
Fiction sorted into usual categories, Large Print, Children’s, Arts and Sciences, Educational, Religious, History, Cookbooks, Hobbies and Games, Business, Computers, Comics and much more.
This is the first of three book sales the Friends of the Library will hold in the coming months: there will be another one in December and another in February. You can find this weekend’s book sale at the basement of the Mahon Library located at 1306 9th street.
Memberships available at the door:
Individual/ Family $10, Patron $25 to $100, Student $5
Hours: Friday September 23 9 am to 5 pm (FOL members only)
Saturday September 24 9 am to 5 pm
Sunday September 25 1 to 4 pm
Monday September 26 3-7 pm
Cash, checks as well as credit cards are now accepted.
Friends of the Library (FOL) is a non-profit organization supporting, promoting and benefiting the Lubbock Public Library system and the Lubbock area community. It was incorporated in 1967 and held the first book sale in 1968.
