While the Lubbock High School auditorium is under renovation, the LHS theatre program is presenting their fall theatre season in partnership with two middle schools in their feeder pattern.

“These Shining Lives,” a 2008 play written by Melanie Marnich, will be the first production of the season at Cavazos Middle School. The show, directed by Zach Kocurek, will mark the first time a Lubbock High School play has been performed on the Cavazos stage. Kocurek teaches theatre at both Lubbock High School and Cavazos Middle School.

Show times are October 13 and October 15 at 7:30 p.m. and October 16 at 2 p.m. in the Cavazos Middle School auditorium, 210 N. University Avenue. Cavazos students will serve as ushers, and all Cavazos students and parents will receive free admission. General admission will be $5 at the door.

The second show of the season is a production written and produced by students. The show, “One Day Only,” will be on October 22 at 7 p.m. at Hutchinson Middle School, 3102 Canton. Hutchinson students will be performing in the production alongside the Lubbock High School cast.
