The Coronado High School, Estacado High School and Monterey High School football teams will enter the playoffs this weekend with their first round of games.

Amarillo High School will visit PlainsCapital Park – Lowery Field, 66th and Ave. P., to face the Monterey Plainsmen on Friday at 7 p.m. The game can also be heard on KKCL-FM 98.1.

The Estacado Matadors are also playing on Friday at 7 p.m. at Pecos High School, 1302 S. Park St., against Fabens High School. The game can be heard on 580 AM. The Matador football program is organizing a bus trip for fans who want a ride to the game. Fans who wish to ride the Matador Fan Bus may contact Reed Gerhart, Estacado athletic secretary, at 219-1552. The cost is $10 per person and students must be accompanied by a guardian.

The Coronado Mustangs will travel to Amarillo on Saturday to play Amarillo Caprock at Dick Bivins Stadium, 800 S. Marrs St. Kickoff will be at 1 p.m. and radio coverage will be on KKCL-FM 98.1.

Advance tickets for the Coronado and Monterey football games may be purchased at the Lubbock ISD Athletics office, 1628 19th St. Adult tickets are $8 and student tickets are $3 if purchased in advance. All tickets will be $10 if purchased at the gate.

Tickets for the Estacado game are not available in advance, but may be purchased at the gate. The cost is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
