Mayor Dan Pope, a group of Lubbock based community banks, United Supermarkets, and the City of Lubbock invite the public and local media to attend a special announcement on Monday, August 1st at 10:00 a.m. at the Buddy Holly Recreational Area Pavilion, 600 North University Avenue. Lubbock is planning a Law Enforcement Appreciation Night and details of the event will be released at this time.
Mayor Pope stated, “Law enforcement professionals keep us safe and protect life and property in Lubbock 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is most appropriate to honor the men and women of the Lubbock Police Department, as well as those who serve in other law enforcement agencies in our community, with this special night of appreciation. I want to thank our local banks and United Supermarkets for helping make this event possible. Further details will be provided at Monday’s media event.”
