A Lubbock man died Friday evening after being struck by a vehicle in Garza County.
According to the DPS, the accident occurred along U.S. Highway 84, approximately 7 miles south of Post, around 8:20 p.m.
Authorities said a pickup truck, traveling eastbound on the highway, drifted over and struck the left side of a semi-truck parked on the shoulder of the road.
The driver of the semi-truck was standing by the front left tire at the time of the accident and was struck by the pickup.
The victim was transported by AeroCare to University Medical Center where he later died.
The DPS identifed the victim as Kevin Wayne Cano, 37, of Lubbock.
The driver of the pickup was not injured. The accident remains under investigation by the DPS.
