One person was killed after being struck by a vehicle at a South Lubbock intersection late Saturday evening.
According to Lubbock Police, the incident occurred at 74th and Quaker at approximately 11:45 p.m.
Authorities reported that a man was struck by a vehicle while crossing the intersection.
The Lubbock Police Department has not officially released the identity of the victim, however, a family member told EverythingLubbock.com the victim is Adrian Chapa, 36, of Lubbock.
The family member also told EverythingLubbock.com they are devastated by their loss and ask the community for thoughts and prayers.
The family will be having a rosary at 7p.m. Wednesday at Lake Ridge Chapel and a mass at St. Elizabeth’s of Lubbock at 10 a.m. Thursday.
