John Zwiacher of Lubbock was recently nominated for the TIME Dealer of the Year award of 2016.
The TIME Dealer of the Year award is a high honor to receive. It represents a successful auto dealer who is heavily involved with community service within the community.
Zwiacher and his family will be honored with an award ceremony.
He is currently the owner of Scoggin-Dickey Chevrolet Buick Subaru. Scoggin-Dickey opened its doors in 1929. Four generations later Scoggin-Dickey is still run by the same family.
Zwiacher states, “One of the questions … for this is you have to say what is one of the greatest accomplishments that you think about the business you have been in. And that is one of them, having four generations.”
Zwiacher attributes the company’s success to its employees and loyal customers.
Zwiacher is not the first from Scoggin-Dickey to receive a nomination for the TIME Dealer of the Year award.
Zwiacher says, “I am the second one in the dealership that’s been nominated. My father-in-law, John Scoggin, was so we have a history of that.”
Zwiacher’s presence in the Lubbock community includes his work with the Chamber of commerce, Covenant Health, United Way, Lubbock Power and Light, Lubbock Meals on Wheels, Women’s Protective Services of Lubbock, the Volunteer Center of Lubbock, and other organizations.
