Lubbock Mansion Expected to Boost West Texas’ Luxury Home Market

Realtors have high hopes for a Lubbock home to bring a positive impact to the West Texas luxury home market.

Built in 2013, a mansion in the 11000 block of Norfolk Avenue is listed at $2.4 million — a price that realtors said is half of what it would be sold for in a larger city.

The home was listed by the Keller Williams – Stacey Rogers real estate team.  She said that with more business leaders coming to Lubbock, she sees an increase in homes like this being sold.

“It does take a little longer to get those homes sold but they are moving more numbers each year which I think is a great indicator of the market here in Lubbock,” said Rogers. “We’re seeing more and more businesses come from other areas either relocating headquarters or bringing new businesses here, and so those people are used to larger markets such as Dallas or Houston or maybe even California where pricing is typically higher.

“A home like this would probably be four to five million in a larger market, so I think they can enjoy the fruits of having a beautiful home for not as much as they’re used to paying in those larger markets,” Rogers added.

The Italian-inspired mansion is located inside the Enclave at Orchard Park and houses five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, a surround sound media room upstairs, and a salt water pool and cabana in the backyard.
