Snow, ice and the cold didn’t stop groups of bird watchers from participating in a program at the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum Saturday morning.

The “Bird-Watching/Identification Tour” was conducted by Anthony Hewetson, local Audubon Society President.

January is one of the best months for bird watching, and the Arboretum is the best place in Lubbock for identifying migratory birds.

The tour was held at 9:00 a.m.
