The Lubbock Municipal Garden and Arts Center (GAC) will host a reception on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for the opening of Developing Form: Local Portraiture. Developing Form is an exhibition that features work by portrait artists Carol Peterson, Lonnie Mason, Henry Salley and Sharon Beauchamp. Sponsoring the exhibit are the Friday Portrait Artists, a group of individuals who meet and encourage each other to explore, experiment and build skills that are applicable to any artistic endeavor. Group members expand their unique vision through the inspiration and challenge of working with a live model.

The Lubbock Municipal Garden and Arts Center strives to offer an array of fun and comprehensive classes and events for all ages, from basic classes in painting, drawing and photography, to specialized classes such as faux finishing.
