A City of Lubbock Parks employee has died as a result of injuries he sustained after a pedestrian bridge he drove over collapsed on Friday, February 19, in Mae Simmons Park. Mark Fort died this morning.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark’s family, friends, and co-workers,” Parks Director Bridget Faulkenberry said. “Mark had worked in Parks Maintenance for just over two years, but he left a lasting impression during that time.”
Funeral services are pending.
