Lubbock Police arrested a man late Monday evening for attempted burglary at a Central Lubbock home.
The incident occurred in the 3600 block of Paris Avenue around 11:45 p.m.
According to Lubbock Police, the suspect attempted to force his way through the front door of his ex-girlfriend’s residence. When officers arrived, the suspect fled the scene on foot.
Officers later located the suspect hiding on top of a storage shed. He then jumped down and ran from officers. He was later found hiding between slabs of concrete.
The suspect refused to comply and a K9 officer was deployed. Lubbock Police say the suspect was bitten by the K9 officer on his foot.
The suspect was then taken into custody and was transported by Covenant Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries he sustained from evading officers. He also received minor injuries from the bite.
He was later released pending filing of charges.
The suspect’s name has not been released but Lubbock Police did identify the suspect as a 37-year-old white male.
