This morning, Saturday, May 07, 2016 at approximately 7:40 a.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a vehicle burglary in progress at the Republic Apartments, 3824 Erskine Street. Officers arrived on scene where the reporting party met them and told them that the suspect was going through several vehicles and ran from the reporting party when he confronted him. Officers located the suspect driving through the complex and stopped him. Officers located several stolen items in the vehicle. A total of five vehicles were reported to have been burglarized.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the Lubbock County Detention Facility and booked in. All the stolen items were returned to the victims.
