Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a traffic accident in South Lubbock Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred around 8:15 a.m. at 82nd Street and Avenue L.
Lubbock Police updated EverythingLubbock.com around 10:45 a.m. and said that one person had died.
Names were not yet released the but the victim was male.
Preliminary reports showed a Ford F-250 and a Chevy Traverse collided at the intersection.
Authorities said the Traverse failed to yield the right-of-way, struck the F-250 and the continued into a park lot and struck another vehicle.
The Lubbock Police Department Accident Investigation team was called to the scene.
Portions of 82nd Street were blocked off near the crash.
