Lubbock Police Investigating Early Sunday Morning Aggravated Robbery

The Lubbock Police Department reports a man was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning in West Lubbock.

The robbery occurred in the 1900 block of Kelsey Avenue after 12:45 a.m.


The suspects were identified as two white females and a white male.

Lubbock Police told EverythingLubbock.com the victim was eating at the McDonald’s located at 5010 Interstate 27. The victim was approached by three suspects asking for money and lodging.

The victim told the suspects he knew of a hotel. The victim got into a vehicle with the suspects to five them directions on the promise they would bring him back to the restaurant, police said.

The suspects drove the victim to the area of 1900 Kelsey Avenue where one of the females  pulled a gun on the victim. The man was robbed of an undetermined amount of property and money. The victim was then ordered out of the vehicle and fled the scene.

The suspects then fled the scene.

Lubbock Police said the suspects may be panhandlers or may be impersonating panhandlers in the area of 50th and I-27, and may be driving a beige Chevrolet Tahoe.
