The Lubbock Police Department is excited to announce the launch of a new mobile app that will provide instant access to resources in the palm of your hand.
By searching “Lubbock Police” you can download the app on any Android, IPhone or IPad for free. At the touch of a button, the new app allows users to directly call the police desk or non-emergency number, pull up a map for directions to the police department, and view helpful links including crime prevention tips, crime maps and Lubbock’s Most Wanted.
Through the app, LPD will be able to send important and urgent alerts directly to your mobile device. This alert system will allow LPD to immediately notify users of public safety concerns, missing people and other crucial information or announcements that need to be disseminated quickly.
The app also allows users to easily file police reports from your phone, view online reports and access phone numbers to specific departments. There are also step by step instructions on how to text your tips to the police department.
Our hope is that the app will increase communication between the department and the citizens we serve and allow users to have another information tool right at their fingertips.
