On Monday, October 3, 2016 at approximately 7:00 a.m., a woman found a newborn baby boy in her residential driveway in the 2600 block of 22nd Street. The resident came out to her vehicle and found the infant wrapped in a blanket and in a plastic container. Patrol officers from the Field Services Bureau along with Child Protective Services were called to the scene to investigate.
The infant appeared to be in good physical condition. Child Protective Services requested EMS transport the infant to University Medical Center for further evaluation and remains in their custody.
