The same convenience store was also robbed early Thursday morning and in January.
Angelina Ann Tsosie has lived in the area directly behind the 7-Eleven for fifteen years, and said she’d seen plenty of theft at or near the store. She said she’s encountered people in the area before who’ve admitted to her they stole alcohol from the store.
“I see a lot of people running up and down and stuff like that you know, I heard about the 7-Eleven and they got robbed, and steal things, but the thing is I hate that,” Tsosie said.
Kim Fisher said that between filling his car with gas and purchasing things from the convenience store, he visits the 7- Eleven nearly every day.
He saw police cars at the store Saturday night but didn’t know where they were coming from.
While the 7-Eleven is close to his home, he said he’d reconsider going there so often if these robberies continue.
“It saddens me that it happens all the time but I guess it’s a sign of the times, but its concerning definitely,” Fisher said.
Tsosie is concerned as well about the recent robberies.
“It’s ridiculous!” she said. “If I get robbed what am I gonna do, shoot them? and then I’m going to prison?”
She said she loves her neighborhood and tries to keep a watchful eye out for her neighbors She hopes that people who enter her neighborhood to commit crimes realize that they are disrupting the sense of neighborhood community.
