Lubbock Police on Wednesday released surveillance video of the April 12 armed robbery of EZ Mart at 4426 34th Street.
A police report said the suspect pointed a gun at the store clerk, and video seemed to confirm the accusation.
The suspect was quoted in a police report as saying, “Give me the money. Give me the money now.”
But after taking all the money in the register, the suspect “became angry” and demanded more money.
“[The suspect] told her she had five seconds to give him the money or he would kill her,” the police report said.
A police report said a portion of the surveillance video showed the gunman point the firearm up toward the ceiling and rack the slide so that a round fell to the floor. When the store clerk tried to open a second register the gunman ran out of the store.
It also said, “[The victim] appeared to be very shaken and stated that she was several times. [The victim] appeared to cry some while speaking with officers. I observed [the victim] to be visibly shaking.”
The robbery suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 5’04” tall, weighing 150 to 170 pounds.
