#1 Texas Tech faces #2 Dallas Baptist in the Lubbock Regional Final at 6 p.m. CT. The Red Raiders move on to the Super Regional round with one more win.

Tech moved on to the Lubbock regional final after defeating #3 New Mexico in the winner’s bracket 4-3 on Saturday night.

DBU will have to defeat the Red Raiders twice in order to advance to the Super Regional Round.

Texas Tech was retired in order in the first inning, while the Patriots knocked in a run in the first frame off the bat of Austin Listi. Darick Hall would plate the second run off a groundout to second, scoring LIsti from third base.

Then in the second inning, the Patriots were rolling again. with two outs, Jameson Hannah hit a single into left field to give DBU to drive in Matt Duce from third base. DBU lead 3-0. Still in the frame, Justin Wall singled to center field to score Tim Millard from third. DBU lead 4-0 after the end of the second inning.

In the third inning, with only one out, Camden Duzenack singled to left field, and scored Trooper Reynolds, giving DBU the 5-0 lead. Camden Duzenack had an RBI hit, and Jameson Hannah plated two more with a double. Tanner Gardner made a diving catch in deep center field to end the threat.

In the sixth inning, the Patriots hung another crooked number on the board. Reynolds singled to center field, Wall scored. Duzenack singled to left field, D. Hall scored. Martinelli grounded out to 1b unassisted, Reynolds scored. DBU lead 10-0 after the sixth inning.

Texas Tech finally broke through in the top of the seventh, posting six runs in the seventh inning to cut the deficit to four. Bernstein walked, RBI (3-2 BKSBBB); Smith, S. advanced to second; Garcia advanced to third; Davis, M. scored. Gardner walked, RBI (3-0 BBBB); Bernstein advanced to second; Smith, S. advanced to third; Garcia scored. Hargrove doubled down the lf line, 2 RBI (0-2 FFF); Neslony advanced to third; Raley scored; Gardner scored.
