A Lubbock woman was taken to University Medical Center early Monday morning after being shot in the foot.
According to Lubbock Police, the incident occurred at 2619 Dartmouth Street before 3:00 a.m.
Authorities say the victim reported hearing a noise at her front door and went to investigate.
As the victim approached the door, a shot was fired through the door into the home, striking the victim in the foot.
She was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Lubbock Police are still investigating the incident.
