John David Wishert, 41, of Lubbock was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center on Monday evening for a charge of arson.
Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to his residence in the 2500 block of 30th Street just before 1:00 p.m. Monday for a house fire.
“The structure suffered minor fire damage but suffered heavy smoke damage,” LFR said shortly after the fire.
Then later, LFR said there were two different rooms where the fire started.
A bond for Wishert to get out of jail was not yet listed Monday evening on his jail booking sheet.
