Lubbock Police arrested Zachary Bartlett, 19, of Lubbock after a brief chase.  Police were told that someone used a pickup truck to ram another vehicle in the 6000 block of Slide Road.

When police arrived the driver of the truck, later identified as Bartlett, drove off at a high rate of speed.  Bartlett led officers through streets near the South Plains Mall.  The chase ended at the mall.  A police report said Bartlett resisted arrest.

The police report also said drug paraphernalia was found in the truck. There was also vehicle damage consistent with ramming.

Police said Barlett followed a 19-year-old woman to work and then tried to get into her vehicle by hitting the windows with a can and his head.  He had pursued her from 19th and Milwaukee to the 6000 block of Slide Road – all the while she was on the phone with a 911 dispatcher.

Bartlett was taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center.  His bond was not yet listed in jail records.
