Esteban Garcia, Junior, 28, was indicted on multiple drug-related offenses this week after his arrest in the Lakeridge neighborhood.

Jail records indicated Garcia was arrested Wednesday morning. A warrant for his arrest was issued in August.

Court documents out of the Western District of Texas, El Paso Division, showed he was indicted on charges related to the attempt to distribute drugs.

Garcia faces two counts of conspiracy to Possess a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, a count of Conspiracy to Launder Money Instruments, and six counts of Possession and Attempt to Possess with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance and Aiding and Abetting.

Court paperwork revealed Garcia was involved in attempting to distribute “500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine.”

Documents said at least one of his offenses involved heroin.

Some of the charges dated back to September, 2013.

In court documents, four other defendants were listed.

Additional records regarding the charges from El Paso were sealed.

The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office referred questions to the United States Department of Homeland Security.

A spokesperson for DHS confirmed special agents were on site during Garcia’s arrest, but no other details were released.

Garcia was reportedly linked to cartel activity.

Garcia’s name and address at 84th Street and Wayne are linked to ownership of Outlaw Trucking. That property is valued at $342,458, and is owned by a company out of Roswell, New Mexico, according to the Lubbock Central Appraisal District.

Garcia’s bond information was not listed on his booking information as of Friday evening.
