Otis Babb, 33, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for a methamphetamine possession charge and stealing goat. 

Babb pleaded guilty on Monday was sentenced to concurrent sentences on both charges.  In addition to prison time, he was ordered to pay restitution.

In July of 2016, a property owner notified Tom Green County Sheriff deputies that a lock had been cut on her fence and that goats were missing.

Babb was later caught trying to sell 13 billy goats and one nanny goat.

This is not the first time Babb was caught stealing livestock.  He had a prior conviction in Schleicher County.
