Lubbock Police said someone robbed the CVS location at 3402 Slide Road Thursday morning at 3:45.
By Thursday evening, police issued an update saying Albert Jones, 25, was arrested and charged for the robbery.
“The suspect, with a bandana covering his face, entered the store carrying a rifle,” police said. “The suspect approached the counter and asked for cigarettes.”
The suspect was told cigarettes were not available. He then demanded money from the register.
“The employee advised the suspect never pointed the rifle directly at him,” police said.
Jones was also charged with possession of marijuana, according to LPD.
